Good Bye Romania :(

We leave tomorrow at 9:10am from Bucharest. We are four hours from the airport and we have to be there two hrs early, so we're leaving the Zander's house at 2:30am.
We all had an awesome time here and don't really want to leave, but we are looking forward to see everyone at home! Thanks sooo much to the Zanders for opening up their home to us for so long. We had an awesome time and great experience.

Here are some pictures.
Love,
Sarah, Anna and Pat

Hi everyone!!

Hey everyone! We are still alive! Still having a great time here. We only have two more weeks till we leave.  This whole trip has gone by so fast. It's been lots of fun and very busy. We've gotten to know a lot of the people here and it's gonna be sad to have to leave them when it's time to leave. We're getting a little better at the language. It's easier to understand what people are saying than to actually speak the language. Here are a bunch of pictures from different things we've done.
At the bottom there is a link to a video of Pat preaching the service last Sunday!!
Love and miss you all!

Pictures

Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks. We have been keeping pretty busy over here and it's making the time go by really fast. We've been here four weeks today and have about another 4 to go. We are enjoying our time here, but of course we miss everyone at home too!
The power goes out a  lot, so we don't always have Internet or hot water, but that's ok. We're used to it now.
Love and miss you all!! Enjoy the pictures!

Orphanage and more!

Hi everyone,
This week been pretty busy for us so far. Sunday after church we had a church picnic and then Sunday night we went into Brasov to the Logan's and Sutek's church. Monday morning Arielle, Sarah and I went to an orphanage and spent the day and night there. That was quite an experience. It was very sad too. This one little boy there named Johnny knew English, so he gave us a tour of the whole orphanage. When he was done giving us the tour, he talked to us for a little bit and was just telling us how he didn't understand why none of his family wanted him. He said "I don't hate my mom, because she gave me life, but I don't understand why she wouldn't want me when I was a gift to her from God." He said he liked the orphanage, but he wants a real  home and family.
The orphanage is run by Christians. It's a huge orphanage. There are about 21 orphans and three orphans in each bedroom. They keep it very clean too. There are 15 people on staff there.  They have a huge court yard and a back yard with a garden and fruit trees. The day we got there, they got in 9 new orphans all from the same family. I guess their mom had left and their dad was blind, so he couldn't take care of them. It was really sad. The oldest was 12 and the youngest was 14 months.
Tuesday before lunch we took some of the kids to the park and on our way there one of the girls took off running and once we got to the park the oldest boy took off too. Thankfully we had other staff members with us, so they went after them! We got home Tuesday night and were very tired!!
Today us girls went to a birthday party for Magda (our Romanian teacher). Later Pat, Sarah and I walked up to the Gypsy village. We went on a walk with some of them and took pictures. They love getting their pictures taken. If they see you with a camera and ask "posa, posa?"
Anyways, I'm going to put some pics on here now!! Enjoy!
Love and miss you all!!!!

Sunday night after church we went to a coffee shop.
The lady all the way to the right is the one that takes care of all the Zander's paper work and legal stuff that lets them stay in the country. Her name is Cati She's so sweet!!

The older lady in the front is the one who started this orphanage 15 years ago.

The 9 new orphans who came in the day we got there. Only two are boys! The girls got their hair all chopped off before they got there.

Johnny - our tour guide! He knew really good English.
He was my little buddy!

The view from our bedroom! It was so pretty.

Trying to teach this little girl her numbers. She only knew how to count to ten and could only write the number 1. It's a good thing I can count to 20 in Romanian, or else it would have been a little tough!

"Nurse" Sarah. This kid cut his finger pretty bad and showed it to me. It's a good thing Sarah was right there, cause I can't handle those kind of things, so I just stood back and took pictures!!
